How to get the thickness one fabric ?

Usually we can see and touch the thickness of one fabric , but we couldn’t know the exact number of thickness .

So we need use a tool to measure the thickness .

There is a machine called “Dial Indicator ” ,which is a very useful tool to get the exactly thickness of one fabric .

Use steps :

1)Set the scale line to ” zero ”  .

2)Put the fabric between 2 rubber holders vertically .

3)See the scale line on the small pointer ,it means how many millimeter .Then see the big pointer , the number multiply by 0.01 , then plus the small pointer number ,it’s the final millimeter .

For example ,the photos show the thickness of fabric is 0.453 millimeter .
